On October 27, 2017, five examiners from EPO, Mr. Jan Fribert, Mr. Stefano Simonini, Mr. Jacek Drabko, Mr. Jose Miguel Nieto and Mr. F Javier Rubio Slerra visited PatentSino IP Firm, and held a seminar on hot topics of EPO practice, e.g., filling strategies, patent prosecutions, patent protection, and costs of EPO patents etc. The examiners also shared a lot of specific views of examination with the attendees.

The president Dr. Jifu Liu, the vice president Ms. Jing Ma and Mr. Chunwei Wang, partner Mr. Pan Xie and some Patent Attorneys from PatentSino IP Firm attended this seminar. Some leading companies in China, e.g., QIYI.com, Inc, Cheetah Mobile Inc., Institute of Electrical Engineering-Chinese Academy of Sciences, New H3C Co., Ltd, Betta Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd, Datang Telecom Technology & Industry Group, etc. were invited to attend the seminar.

EPO examiners shared a lot of useful information of the EPO examination, and gave detailed explanation for Amendments, Unity, Unitary Patent, and Unitary Patent Court etc. They also shared some cases in UK and Germany.

IP in-house councils from these leading industrials discussed a lot of topics with these EPO examiners.
